I had a problem when I first tried to install this game, and I had to install it using my win98se boot disk, just to get the install to work. pif for this game later with sound, vesa, and cdrom drivers loaded. I didn't have any sound card settings loaded either. When I tried to start the game after changing the hi-res setting in game-setup, it just locked my machine up. That finally loaded my DVD as a CDrom in DOS command prompt. I used the lines from my autoexec.bat and config.sys on my win98SE startup disk. It took me awhile to figure how to load my DVDrom. I already played DM2 almost to the end several yrs ago, but would like to get Stonekeep to play in Hi Res. I acquired these game CDs from a friend that was getting rid of his old stuff. Otherwise I have no problems with this video, except it probably won't work in SVGA for the 2 following games either: I also read the following post here at Tech Support Guy: They list one for another chip/card, but it is inside a setup prog specifically for that card/chip. I looked at the website: for a Vesa driver for this chip. There is NOT any way to disable it in BIOs or by using jumpers, so a new Vid card is not an option. This onboard chip is made by Silicon Intergrated Systems. Switching to VGA" (I am launching it in Win98) Tried it in DOS only, but am not sure where my mscdex stuff is. I get a message when trying to switch to Hi Res in setup. I am trying to run this game, "Stonekeep" from Interplay, and it will run in plain old VGA but is blocky. I have been having trouble finding a Vesa driver for my SIS620 onboard video chip.
